The visual options portion of the admin options page allows you to control exactly how your share buttons look and feel, letting you tie in their visual style to that of your themes.
Button Shape: This option determines the shape of the buttons.
Button Size: This option allows you to scale the buttons to be larger or smaller.
Default Color Set: This is the color palette that will be used when the buttons are first rendered on the page prior to the user hovering or interacting with them in any way.
Hover Color Set: This is the color palette that will be applied to all the buttons in the row (except for the specific button which is being hovered) when any individual button gets hovered.
Single Button Hover: This is the color palette that will be applied to the specific button that the user is hovering over.
Let’s say you set the Hover Color Set to a light gray color scheme, and the Single Button Hover to full color. This would result in all share buttons turning gray except the one a visitor hovers over. This technique draws in the user’s focus on the action of sharing.
Custom Color & Custom Color Outlines: If you selected “Custom Color” or “Custom Color Outlines” from the dropdown of any of the color sets, then a box will appear allowing you to input your own unique custom color. Simply place it in there in the 6-digit, hexadecimal format. For example: #ff0000
.
