The visual options portion of the admin option page allows you to control exactly how the buttons look and feel. This allows you maximum control over how you can tie in their visual style with that of your themes. The options here are pretty straightforward, and at the bottom of the section, there is a row of buttons that will update in real time showing you the effect that any given setting has on them.
Button Shape: This determines the shape of the buttons. You want rectangles? Rounded edges?
Button Size: This option allows you to scale the buttons to be larger or smaller.
Default Color Set: This is the color palette that will be used when the buttons are first rendered on the page prior to the user hovering or interacting with them in any way.
Hover Color Set: This is the color palette that will be applied to all the buttons in the row (except for the specific button which is being hovered) when any individual button gets hovered.
Single Button Hover: This is the color palette that will be applied to the specific button that the user is hovering over.
For example, you might set the Hover Color Set to a light gray color scheme and the Single Button Hover to Full color resulting in all the buttons turning gray except the one they are hovering. This would draw the user’s focus in on the action of sharing.
Custom Color & Custom Color Outlines: If you selected “Custom Color” or “Custom Color Outlines” from the dropdown of any of the color sets, then a box will appear allowing you to input your own unique custom color. Simply place it in there in the 6-digit, hexidecimal format. For example: #ff0000
