Once you finish your purchase of Social Warfare, you should receive an email confirmation of the subscription and a link to download the .zip file for the plugin. If you’re using the premium version of Social Warfare, you will need to install and activate both the core plugin and the Pro addon.
If you did not receive the downloadable .zip file via email after purchasing, you can visit your Account page and upon logging in (using the credentials you created during signup) you will see there is a download link available for you. This link will always have the most current version of the plugin, should you ever need to download it again.
Don’t see the .zip file?
In some cases, certain operating systems will automatically unzip files once you’ve downloaded them. If you don’t see the .zip file and only see a folder named
social-warfare-pro then you will need to compress (or “zip”) the file yourself before attempting to upload it to WordPress.
You can also hold the CTRL button on your keyboard (or Command if you use a Mac) while clicking the download link to prevent the files from unzipping themselves.
You may also want to do a quick check of your Downloads folder just to be sure that the .zip version of the file isn’t still in there.
Installing Social Warfare
Once you’ve downloaded the
social-warfare-pro.zip files, simply login to your WordPress install and navigate to
Plugins > Add New > Upload and upload the files. WordPress will then give you the option to activate the plugins (click the Activate Plugin link).
Once you’ve activated both plugins, you can proceed straight to the new Social Warfare tab in your WordPress side menu and Register the plugin.
