The Tweet Counts feature is only available with Social Warfare – Pro add-on, and cannot be activated in the free version.
Twitter removed share counts from its API in 2016. Luckily a number of third-party APIs became available shortly after to allow tracking of tweet counts again.
You’ll find the Tweet Count Registration option in the Social Identity tab of the Social Warfare settings. This option requires the premium add-on – it is not available in the free version of the plugin. You’ll need to click the button to create a free account with OpenShareCount.com or TwitCount.com and add your domain, after which you can turn tweet counts on and display them on your Twitter share buttons.
Please note that both of these are third-party services provided for free. We only report the figures that they provide us. There are times when the service goes down- when this happens, we use the share counts stored in your database.
